Solution #1: Try to restart the scanner

Solution #2: Check if the power LED light of the scanner is on. If not, make sure that the power cable is properly plug in to the electrical outlet and scanner, then press the power button. When the LED light is still off, try to replace the power cable

Solution #3: Check if the USB scanner cable is properly connected to the scanner and computer
